(12/27/07) The passing of a legendary soul like James Brown is always a difficult thing to accept. It's even more difficult when it happens during a time of year that is supposed to be a time of happiness and joy. James Brown was more than a performer or songwriter, he was the soul of music and he will truly be missed. Performers like him come along once in a long while and we often don't appreciate them until their gone. I was lucky enough to have shared a stage with him several years ago in Macon, Georiga. It was one of the most amazing nights of my music career and I will never forget his impact on me. I can only hope that his legacy will be one of great music and inspiration for generations to come.
